A six-piece collective of musicians from all over the world pay tribute to the legendary Bob Marley, the most influentia­l Jamaican musician of all time, on Friday, December 8, at The Hot Spot Music Club. Doors at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, December 9, it’s Van Morrison songs delivered by Celtic Soul.

The seven-piece from Bangor receive acclaim from devout Van fans wherever they perform.

The evening will include the big hits like Jackie Wilson Said, Days Like This, and of course Brown Eyed Girl, as well as Ballerina, Cyprus Avenue, In the Garden and many others. Doors open at the earlier time of 8 p.m.

Several live ‘unplugged’ performanc­es on Gerry Kelly’s show on BBC Radio Ulster have boosted the band’s following. BBC’s Ralph McLean, a massive Van Morrison fan himself, describes Celtic Soul as ‘a great band’ and ‘a very fine tribute’.

With more years than they care to remember playing in blues, folk, trad and jazz bands these musicians have the ingredient­s to combine and deliver Van’s music in an outstandin­g show.

On Sunday, December 10, at 5 p.m. it’s indie folk group Sillk featuring Orla Travers and Julian Halpin.

The session is suitable for babies up to children aged six years.

All are welcome to come along for some super stories as well as the chance to meet other parents and carers. No booking is required. lunch will take place this week.
