THOMAS McAuley from Tesco Greystones was one of the big winners at the 2017 Tesco Ireland Values Awards.
Thomas took home the coveted trophy for ‘Grocery Home Service Driver of the Year’.
The category recognises those who deliver fantastic service to grocery home service customers and are great advocates and brand ambassadors for Tesco.
This is the sixth year of the Tesco Ireland Values Awards, which took place at a special ceremony in the Clayton Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
Voted for by Tesco colleagues countrywide, the awards recognise excellence amongst the retailers 13,000 strong workforce across 12 different categories including Colleague of the Year, Store Manager of the Year and Team of the Year, among others. Customers were also invited to nominate for someone they felt went that extra mile in the categories Service Superstar and Driver of the Year.
This award is recognition of Thomas’s hard work and dedication to his role which has seen him become a firm favourite with Wicklow customers. Thomas has received so many fantastic comments from customers and is a role model for other drivers. His colleagues describe him as a man who cares, who is loyal and reliable, and the person to go to when looking for advice.

RTE’s Brian Ormond was on hand to MC the ceremony and to present the awards to the winners for their notable contributions to communities across Ireland, and over 350 Tesco employees were in attendance to celebrate their success.
