Nóirín can explore and be free with painting

-

A Bray artist who produces scenic oil paintings all across the world is among the local makers showcasing their work at Gifted Contemporary Craft and Design Fair in Dublin’s RDS from December 5 to 10.

‘Gifted’ celebrates the best of over 600 Irish designers and makers from fashion to jewellery and beyond.

Inspired by the wondrous landscape of Wicklow, Nóirín Dodd has been sharing her stunning works of art with the world for the last 15 years.

‘Painting has always been my first love – it is a place where I can explore and be free,’ said Nóirín.

‘One can look at an object like a lead of a flower but not really see its beauty – the way the light shines through it or the shadows it creates.

‘Bray is a small town surrounded by beautiful mountains, headland and sea which makes Wick- low one of the most stunning counties in Ireland.

‘I’ve had lots of commission work and sold works at exhibitions in Dublin and Wicklow. At Gifted I will exhibit oils, watercolours, limited edition prints and greeting cards from original paintings.’

Gifted is an important event for Nóirín who sees it as an opportunity to connect with old and new customers.

The event also includes a Christmas food emporium featuring over 120 artisan food producers, taste-tempting visitors with the best of the season’s fare.

In addition, there will be 10 per cent off everything at the fair on the opening day, Tuesday, December 5.

The fair is on from 10 a.m. each day. Go to giftedfair.ie for more information.
