Sonamus for Tinahely concert
THE Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely will present an evening of traditional and baroque Irish music with seasonal songs on Saturday, December 9.
Wicklow-based group Sonamus comprises four highly-respected musicians from the traditional, classical and early music genres who explore Irish music in its various forms across a historical period.
The group has a unique blend of instruments allowing for the innovative interpretation of Irish music from across the centuries.
Featuring Cormac Breatnach on Susato Whis- tles, Annette Cleary on harp, Rachel Factor on harpsichord and Eamon Sweeney on guitar, Sonamus will be joined on the night by Wicklow-based soprano and tenor Toni Walsh and Anthony Norton.
Both are experienced performers having sung with the National Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre Company, Opera Ireland and have recorded and performed for RTÉ television and radio, Wexford Opera House and many more.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets cost €18/€16 and including a glass of mulled wine.
