Entries sought for ICA Drama Festival

ENTRIES are being invited for the 63rd Wicklow ICA Drama Festival taking place in Glenealy early next year.

This is an open festival and is not just confined to ICA groups. There are two sections in the festival. Section A for one act plays or a single act from a full length play and Section B for sketches.

The Drama Festival takes place in Glenealy Village Hall from January 19 to January 21 2018.

The 2017 competition saw Coolgreany Drama Group win the Premier Award for Best Group in the play section. Also picking up awards were Delgany ICA, the Balally Players, Ashford ICA, Delgany Dramatic Society and the Amphitheatre Company.

The Best Sketch was won by Delgany Dramatic Society, with other prizes going to Ballinteer Drama Group, Wicklow Writers, Ballycoog ICA and Wicklow Active Retirement Association.
