Final days of Christmas market at the Boatyard

There is one more weekend left of the Boatyard Christmas market in Greystones and one last chance to grab some festive bargains before Christmas.

The market has been under way each weekend since the end of November, organised by Greystones Tidy Towns and the Greystones Art and Photograph­y Exhibition.

It will be open again this Saturday and Sunday, December 16 and 17, from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Exhibitors include crafts artisan foods paintings and photograph­y. There will be a raffle in aid of St Vincent de Paul sponsored by Supervalu.

This market was a huge success last year and this year is shaping up to be even better. A

The stalls include superb gift ideas, arts and crafts and even hot food. There will be live music, entertainm­ent and much more.

Santa arrived by fire engine three weeks ago, and remains at the market in his grotto.

The weekend programme includes activities for children as well as plenty to keep the adults amused.

A festive marquee protects stallholde­rs and shoppers from the elements.

The Boatyard is located by the Beach House at Greystones Harbour.
