Lily receives the Pat Woods Scholarship
THIS year’s winner of The Pat Woods Scholarship is former BIFE student, Lily Boyle from Bray, who is studying a BA in Fine Art in Limerick School Art and Design.
Lily (pictured above) recently arrived at Bray Credit Union to meet the credit union team and last year’s scholarship winners. Lily is awarded €2,000 each year towards her college education for the duration of four years.
‘Bray Credit Union board and staff wish Lily every success in her studies over the next four years,’ said a spokesperson for the organisation.
Bray Credit Union will be taking applications for the next Pat Woods Scholarship from next April. Applicants must be a member of Bray Credit Union and they are asked to write a 300 word essay detailing why they think they should be in with a chance of winning, and also their knowledge of the credit union movement.
Then a number of people will be chosen to move forward to the interview phase to sit down with a group of people chosen by the credit union, to talk about their chosen field of study.
