TK Maxx gives one Bray family a white Christmas
A Bray family got something of a white Christmas for 48 hours, with some real snow courtesy of TK Maxx.
Elaine Casey was the lucky winner of a ‘White Christmas’, as depicted in TK Maxx’s Christmas advert.
Visitors to tkmaxx.ie were able to take part by using their phones or cursors to shake a virtual snow globe which gave online gifting inspiration, TK Maxx gift cards, and even a White Christmas to a few lucky customers.
A limited number of bespoke, two-foot long ‘White Christmas’ snow globes were also hidden in stores nationwide.
As one of several lucky customers in Ireland, Elaine received an extra-special visit from a team of snow experts last weekend, transforming her Bray home with equipment usually used in the film industry – plus eight cubic metres of real snow, just perfect for snowball fights, snowmen and a suitably jolly Christmas experience.
Elaine took the opportunity to surprise her daughter, Deryn (age 19) who is celebrating her birthday. Speaking about her unique Christmas experience, Elaine said: ‘I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won, I never win anything! What a magical experience to be able to enjoy just before Christmas. It was amazing to share it with my daughter Deryn, her friends, my Mom and Dad and of course, our neighbours. It really is a childhood dream come true.’
