FESTIVE FLOWER CLUB DEMO

-

Bray Flower Club had a gala Christmas demonstration recently, with floral artist Janet Maddock. Members and visitors enjoyed a festive evening with tickets including mulled wine and mince pies.

Janet brought them through the steps to create a beautiful Christmas display. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Martin Codyre Trust.

Martin himself was there for the event, along with his dog Hilda.

Bray man Martin suffered a devastating spinal-cord injury in August 2008 at the age of 33 at a wedding in Ireland that left him paralysed from the shoulders down. The ‘Martin Codyre Fund’ was immediately set up by his friends and family to support him through his recovery and rehabilitation.

The fund was initially about survival and still is to some extent, but Martin has now made it also about his bigger vision, to play a significant role in ending paralysis due to spinal cord injury.
