€5,000 raised for hospice

-

BRAY Choral society raised €5,000 for Wicklow Hospice Foundation at their ‘Carols by Candlelight’ concert.

The concert was held last Saturday evening at the Holy Redeemer.

Singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh was one of the members of the audience on the night, supporting both the local choir and Wicklow Hospice Foundation. De Burgh got to his feet to applaud to show his appreciation for the perfor- mance. Representatives of the foundation were also present, as well as a large crowd of music lovers. One group on their holidays from Canada took the opportunity to enjoy the concert. It was a beautiful evening and the choir delivered a flawless performance, displaying once again their great talent, dedication and passion for music.

Musical director Frank Kelly led the singers through a series of festive pieces from around the world.
