Music of Phil Lynott to support the homeless
King’s Call for the Homeless - A celebration of Phil Lynott will take place at the Hot Spot Music Club in Greystones on Friday, January 5, at 5 p.m.
This intimate celebration of Phil Lynott’s life will include a wealth of phenomenal musicians.
The full blown rick vibe will be on the main stage, with a softer, acoustic experience in the informal living room.
Immerse yourself in the art, music and poetry of Phil Lynott and his wide repertoire of musical styles including punk, metal and trad.
In keeping with Phil’s legendary generosity of spirit and in parallel with the bleak times in which he rose to fame - monies raised from this event will go directly to non-profit organisations who work to alleviate poverty and homelessness.
Funds will be donated to WH Five Loaves/Arc Housing, and the Alice Leahy Trust.
The line-up includes Thinner Lizzy, Bree Harris, KJ Mac, Emma Nicolai and guests.
The event is supported by the Hot Spot, GCR Digital Radio & Paddy Meakin. Raffle Sponsors include Buoys Kitchen, with further sponsors to be announced. Prizes include memorabilia and a signed Jim Fitzpatrick print. Tickets are €10, with additional donations welcome. The doors open at 5 p.m. to view the art and memorabilia and enjoy some old video footage on the big screen. Live music starts at 8.30 p.m.
