Martin Fitzgerald Wicklow GAA Chairman
2018 is set to be a very busy year.
First and foremost, I would like to have good health.
On the sporting side of things, we would like to reach the National Hurling League and to be there or thereabouts in the Christy Ring Cup. We would also look forward to being in contention for the Division 4 League.
I’ve heard rumours that there’s a transfer form waiting for me in Knockananna but I wouldn’t pay any attention to them!
It is going to be a very productive year, hopefully, and I intend to make my role as County Chairman a priority.
Family will also be the focus of my attention as my younger children are in college. I enjoy a game of cards in my downtime and I’m a hobby farmer in Annacurra. It’s very small but I enjoy it.
I hope the coming year will be a good one for everyone and that it will be a productive and succesful year – particularly for Wicklow GAA.’
