-

ROUNDWOOD Variety Group returns to the Brockagh Resource Centre at the end of the month for four performances of their panto ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

‘Beauty and the Beast’ is one of the most magical and beloved of all fairytales and charmed audiences of both Walt Disney’s animated release in 1991 and last year’s romantic fantasy film.

The beautiful Belle follows her dreams into a magical new world in which lives the Beast, who must learn to love to break a spell that is upon him. During the evening, audiences will meet many much-loved and new characters, including a scary pair of baddies that are up to no good, Scottish gardeners, French butlers, a mad inventor and even a panto horse.

These characters will be brought to life by the talented cast, which includes children aged eight and upwards.

Sabitha Smith will take on the role of Belle, Ciara Dunne plays the Beast and Daniel Byrne will portray the Prince while Derek Nielsen will play the role of Belle’s father.

Performances of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ take place on Friday, January 26, at 8 p.m., Saturday, January 27, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 28, at 3 p.m..

Tickets are currently on sale locally or they can be purchased form any member of Roundwood Variety Group.
