First Plucks darts winner
With darts so prominently featured on our TV’s at present, it was no wonder that a group of keen darts players here in Kilmacanogue got together to host a tournament. The first ever winner of this competition turned out to be Colm Griffith, who beat James McDonald in the final 3-2. Colm also got a 180 on the night to claim the highest competition score while Paddy Harvey Jnr won highest checkout with 88.
All dart players paid €10 entry with proceeds going to the Kilmacanogue old folks and with extra donations, Susan Fox received €400 and was very grateful to everyone. Well done to James McDonald for organising and marking most of the games and Paddy Harvey Snr, who also helped out.
