COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT
Early Years Service has a vacancy for a trainee Early Educator as part of a Community Employment Scheme. On the job experience together with fully paid college course provided. PILGRIMAGES
There will be a pilgrimage to Lourdes from Roundwood in September. Names and €200 deposit before January 15, to Susan at 087 6273032.
A pilgrimage to Knock will be on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8. More on both pilgrimages at a later date.
ALGARVE TRIP
There are a few places left on the three star Algarve Coast and Country trip will take place on February 27, for seven nights which will include visits to Silves, Lagos, Sagres and Faro.
The cost will be €429 per person sharing. This will include breakfast and dinner in the Hotel Da Aldeia, Albufeira and day excursions and a one 10kg bag. All money to be paid 10 weeks prior to departure. For further information you can contact 087 6273032.
CEILI DANCING
Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.
MONEYSTOWN CENTRE
Moneystown Community Centre Cards will continue as usual on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. while our Moneystown Dance will return on Friday, March 9.
Tuesday morning badminton is back on Tuesday, January 2, from 9.30 a.m. beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available.
MATHS LESSONS

WALKING CLUB
The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7 p.m. at the Coach House car park. Everyone is welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately one hour in and around Roundwood village.
WHIST RESULTS
The results of the whist are as follows: Top Score: Kitty Kennedy; Top Gent: Margaret Kennedy; Second Gent: Kay Plunkett; Top Lady: Maura McHugh and Monica Brady (shared); First Half: Anne Wolohan; Second Half: Anne Pierce; Longest Sitting: Jimmy Molloy and Lowest Score: May Kenna. Raffle prizes were won by Catherine Doyle, Tom McHugh, Monica Brady, Anne Wolohan and May Kenna.
Next whist will be on tonight Wednesday, January 3, in the Parish Centre.
SET DANCING
Set dancing continues on Thursday nights in Kavanagh’s lounge with an addition of giving jive lessons at 8.15 p.m. before our weekly session at no additional cost.
