Bray is ‘clean to European norms’

-

Bray is ‘Clean to European Norms’ once again in the latest Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey.

The town is in 28th place among a group of 40 towns and cities all over Ireland and the only County Wicklow location included in this latest survey.

Bray has climbed four places since the previous survey. In 2010, the town took first place.

According to the report, Bray has done just enough to retain clean status in recent years.

‘A good result, but a long way from the top spot in the rankings which the town once enjoyed.’

The report identified improvements at the recycling centre as well as major works at the Dart station, with the whole area looking very well.

‘ There are two sites in Bray which have stubbornly remained heavily littered for a number of years – Upper Dargle Road and Quinsboro car park,’ according to the report.

Also according to the report, the Bray - Wexford road was free of litter.
