Appeal lodged to garage plan
PLANS to develop a new Applegreen service station on the north side of Arklow have been met with an obstacle after a planning appeal was lodged by a competitor.
Topaz has lodged an appeal to An Bord Pleanála in relation to the planned development at the former Hill’s Garage site at Killinskyduff on the Dublin Road.
A further appeal has also been lodged by Charles O’Reilly Hyland.
Permission was granted for the project by Wicklow County Council on November 22 to reinstate a petrol station, shop, deli and associated works. According to An Bord Pleanála, a decision on the appeal is expected to be reached by May 2.
