Nature sessions

-

Nature connection sessions will start on Saturday, January 13 at Bray Head.

Participants will get to know the plants that grow in the area. They will hear stories and make connections between them, and learn practical ways to share this knowledge with others.

They will develop confidence in identifying these trees and plants in different seasons, and nurture a connection with their community.

The sessions are suitable for people who are interested in learning more and developing a connection with native plants and ecosystems.

The sessions are led by Jenny Dungan, who is a primary teacher, forest school leader, forager, cook and group facilitator.

She is passionate about connective ways to educate herself and others. She co-creates local community projects to help people to learn together to reconnect to nature and to flourish.

The sessions take place on the second Saturday of each month from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The Bray head area includes native woodland and seashore and grassland plants. Regular visits to the same location allows people to learn more deeply and develop confidence and connection.

The two-hour session includes wild tea tasting. The cost is €150 for nine sessions, or €25 per session.
