Super celebration for Hollywood GAA
HOLLYWOOD GAA CLUB put the finishing touches to a wonderful 2017 when they held their club dinner dance last weekend.
Following their magnificent Intermediate football championship triumph, there was only one way top celebrate and that was with a big shindig worthy of such an honour and the Hollywood crew didn’t disappoint.
Present on the night were the heroes of that Intermediate team who came through a tough campaign before finally dispatching Dunlavin in the decider thanks to a superb performance in Joulr Park, Aughrim.
It was also a big year off the field with major funding being secured for the club while club referee Declan Peppard took charge of the SFC decider between Rathnew and Blessington.
Special guests in attendance were the now legendary Mick Murry, team manager, and Wicklow GAA Chairman Martin Fitzgerald who presented the championship medals medals to the winning team members.
Individual players who were presented with awards at Tulfarris on the night were Senior Player of the Year: Tony Hannon; Junior Player of the Year: Thomas Kelly; Most Improved Player: Cian Tyrrell; Young Player of the Year: Matthew Kelly.
