Healthy workplaces honoured

-

TWO County Wicklow workplaces were celebrated by the Irish Heart Foundation at the charity’s annual Healthy Eating and Active@Work Awards supported by the HSE.

The charity’s flagship health programme recognises efforts to improve healthy eating practices and physical activity among staff across the country. Workplaces can apply for Bronze, Silver or Gold levels.

This year Teck Ireland, located at the Murrough in Wicklow town, achieved Gold status, the highest award available. The Community Occupational Therapy Department at Baltinglass/Dunlavin Primary Care was presented with the Bronze award in recognition of efforts to boost employee physical activity levels at work.
