Culture team hosting public workshops
THE Culture Team of Wicklow County Council is hosting two public information and consultation workshops is inviting all interested individuals and groups in Wicklow to attend.
A morning workshop will take place in Arklow Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.and an evening one in Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 1.
Wicklow’s Culture Team has come together to prepare the county’s first five-year Creative Ireland Strategic Plan, in line with the Government’s legacy programme for Ireland 2016, which is due to be launched this year.
The plan seeks to put a supporting framework in place for enhanced public engagement with culture and creativity among communities and individuals in County Wicklow.
The workshops will be an opportunity for interested individuals to meet with members of the Culture Team, find out more about the emerging strategy and to share ideas and feedback.
The team is particularly interested in meeting members of arts and heritage communities, members of societies and community groups as well as individuals with an interest in all forms of culture and creativity.
