Judge Bernadette Owens handed down a fine of €100. insurance as well as €100 for driving unaccompan­ied.

A woman who was found sitting in her car in the middle of the road has been disqualifi­ed from driving for three years and fined €350.

Gillian Donohoe (51), 31 Mulvey Park, Dundrum, Dublin 14, appeared in Bray District Court on Thursday, January 11, where she admitted the charge of driving over the limit.

Gardai were called to a crash on Vevay Road on May 27, 2016, at 9.30 p.m. where they found Donohoe’s car stopped in the middle of the road and she was sitting in the driving seat.

The court heard that she had 247 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitre­s of blood.

Solicitor Joe Maguire said that his client had no previous conviction­s and apologised sincerely. A postponeme­nt was granted to February 1.

A man who had no tax displayed was fined €100.

Shane Mackin (39), Mere Park, Newtown, admitted the offence which occurred on the N11 at Kilmurry on May 22, 2017, at Bray District Court on Thursday, January 11. which he has overcome. He had lost accommodat­ion because his landlord’s property was repossesse­d. He had been working as a barman, was laid off, and has now retrained. Mr Maguire said that Roundwood is not well serviced by public transport.

Judge Bernadette Owens said that she would exercise her discretion and did not impose a ban. She handed down a fine of €250.
