Shoreline hosts quality football tournament last week
THIRD and fourth class indoor boys’ football - There was a good turnout of teams for the Indoor football tournament for boys in third and fourth class on Friday last and more schools will be involved on Friday, February 2, in Shoreline, Greystones.
The emphasis in this competition is on participation and sport for all and the games are seven-a-side. If your school has not yet attended and is interested please contact Gary McGillycuddy, Oifigeach Peile, to indicate how many teams will attend from your school. Well done to all the schools who have already attended, the fast paced and skilful games bode well for the future of football in the Garden County.
It’s the Ladies Turn Next - O’Kelly Cup - Indoor Girls Football - First on the list of Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Chill Mhantáin girls football activities for 2018 is the third and fourth class girls indoor football tournament.
The emphasis on this day is on participation and sport for all, there is no age limit, and teams are seven-a-side. This event takes place at the Shoreline Leisure Centre, Greystones on January 26 from 10am.
If there is a big number schools/ teams who want to attend the blitz, then we will have to stagger the start times e.g. some schools will arrive at 10am, other schools will arrive at 11.30am.
David McDonnell, girls football officer, will confirm these times once he gets feedback on numbers.

Camogie Participation Blitz - Wednesday, February 7 - Outdoor camogie blitz in Ballinakill at 11.45 a.m. The emphasis in this competition is on participation and sport for all – No age limit, nine-a-side). Full rules.
Boys’ Football Allianz Coughlan Cup Day 1 - February 28/ March 1 at Bray Emmets. Elevena-side and no age limit at 11.45 a.m. Teams will be graded on this day. Your school will be contacted regarding which day you will be attending. Points only, no goalkeeper.
