DoMiSo choir seeks new members

-

A group of singing mums are seeking new members for their adult choir at the DoMiSo music school.

The school, run by Clare Cherry-Kinito in Delgany since 2005, offers group music lessons for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 10.

One mother and baby class had a group of mums who were fantastic singers and this prompted the adult choir. The choir started in September 2017 with six members. They now have 15 and would love to welcome a few more recruits.

‘We are extremely lucky to have Frank Kelly to conduct the choir,’ said a spokeswoman. ‘We sing a wide and varied programme and work towards concerts.’

So far they have performed in the DoMiSo showcase concert at Whale Theatre and also with one of Frank Kelly’s family concerts in Ashford church. The choir welcomes men and women but currently the members are all female. They meet on Thursday evenings in the Stables in Delgany Church from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Membership is €75 for eight weeks. For more information call Clare on 086 3029665 or go to domisomusicschool.ie.
