CLERGY COME TOGETHER DURING WEEK OF UNITY
CLERGY from south east and north east Glendalough and their counterparts from other Christian traditions gathered in the Bel-Air Hotel in Ashford on Friday to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
The annual ecumenical lunch is designed to enable clergy of the area to get together in an informal atmosphere to share food and worship.
They come from Shankill in the north to Arklow in the South, as far in as Laragh and all areas in between.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity began in 1908 and is an international Christian ecumenical observance which takes place annually between January 18 and January 25.
