Coláiste Chraobh Abhann through to ‘B’ decider

- JUNIOR ‘B’ FOOTBALL

THE semi-final of the girls Junior ‘B’ football championsh­ip between Coláiste Chraobh Abhann and St Kilian’s CS was played in Kilcoole on Wednesday.

The Kilcoole school started the better to run up a good lead with wind assistance. St Kilians tried hard in the second half but never looked like bridging the gap. The winners had good players in Taylor Brandon, Kerri Ann Hamilton, Laura Harrison and Robyn Evans while the Curran The Carrs Jamie and Sophie did well for St Kilian’s as well as Letitia Coster and Jamie Lee Hanlin.

Teachers in charge were Siobhan Ward of Chraobh Abhann and Laura O’Shea of St Kilian’s.

St Killian’s: Saoirse O’Neill, Tia McMahon, Letitia Coster, Alanna Byrne, Alanna Murphy, Katelyn Mangan, Jamie Curran Carr, Ava Treacy, Holly Keogh, Jamie Lee Hanlin, Niamh Brady, Eleanor Murtagh Gilroy, Sophie Curran Carr, Tori Leigh Cummins.

OTHER RESULTS

Avondale CC travelled to Prosperous on Tuesday to play the South Leinster Senior football ‘D’ semi-final but went down to St Farnan’s by 2-15 to 1-6.

In boys first year football there was a win for St David’s Greystones over Coláiste Raithin Bray.
