GREYSTONES UNITED NEEDS YOU TO FACE THE HEROES OF IRISH SQUAD
PEOPLE are being offered the chance to play against heroes of Irish football in exchange for a few hundred quid.
They will be in Greystones on February 24 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1988 European Cup.
Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan, Paul McGrath, Tony Cascarino and others will form a ‘legends’ side to take on Greystones United AFC on the pitch.
If your dream of sharing a pitch with the lads passed by decades ago, now’s your chance to shine.
For €325, you can tog out and play during the fundraiser for Greystones United.
There will be a meet and greet with iconic defender Paul McGrath during the afternoon session at the club from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will also include a three-course dinner that evening at the Parkview from 7 p.m. with Houghton, Whelan and Cascarino. The trio will take part in a question and answer session, and the night will end with live music.
Tickets are €10 for the match, and €75 for the evening dinner event at the Parkview Hotel in Newtown.
