MAN WITH A ‘BIG MOUTH’ IS FINED

-

A MAN who was twice arrested for public disorder was given fines at Bray District Court on Thursday, January 25.

Daniel Burnett (37), 10 Poddle Close, Kimmage, was seen by gardaí on Florence road at around midnight. The court heard that he was drunk and unsteady on his feet.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, at around 11.15 p.m., gardai on patrol saw Burnett drunk in the street at The Court, St Anne’s Shankill.

He had been ejected from a house nearby and was swearing in the presence of gardaí. Barrister Eamonn O’Moore said that in the first incident, his client had been at a party with friends.

He has been clean as far as illegal substances, and has been avoiding alcohol. He said that he has a ‘ big mouth’ when he drinks too much and apologised for his behaviour.

He hasn’t come to garda attention since this occurred.

Judge David Kennedy handed down a fine of €150 for the first matter, and €350 for the second.
