Archbishop will address the Irish-German Society
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Irish- German Society of County Wicklow.
The meeting will take place on Monday, February 26 at 7.30 p.m.
‘Dr Martin was a guest of the Diocese of Wurzburg during the Kiliani Fest in July 2017,’ said chairman of the society George Jones.
‘He gave a talk to a general audience in Wurzburg on the topic “The Challenge for the Church in the 21st Century”.
‘So in view of our connections with Wurzburg the Committee of the Irish- Ger- man Society are delighted that the Archbishop has accepted our invitation to speak at our next general meeting.’
The Archbishop addressed that meeting in fluent German. Representatives from County Wicklow were present at the talk.
