Call for night bus to travel further into Bray

-

A NIGHT bus coming from Dublin stops at Woodbrook and doesn’t go in to the town of Bray, the district meeting heard.

Cllr Joe Behan suggested asking Dublin Bus to extend the 7N service into the town as far as the station.

‘I was contacted by someone who uses the service coming from Town at night,’ said Cllr Behan.

‘Effectively people are put off the bus at Wilford roundabout at 2 a.m. because that’s where the route ends,’ he said. ‘Could they not bring people at least into the town at that hour of the night so they can get a taxi. I can’t understand why they can’t go that extra half a mile.’

Cllr Steven Matthews said that he wrote to Dublin Bus last year about an around-thetown bus service. ‘ They told me to write to the NTA, who told me to write to Dublin Bus. We should cover our bases and write to both.’
