Safety advice at roadshow

-

THE Garda Roads Policing Unit and RSA (Road Safety Authority) Roadshow visited the SuperValu carpark in Wicklow town last Thursday and Friday.

There was steady flow of visitors to the RSA Roadshow, where visitors could try out the RSA Shuttle to practice their driving and hazard perception skills.

Another attraction was the RSA roll-over simulator, whereby participants sit into the simulator and experience a half or a full rotation. The ‘simulation’ demonstrates how it would feel if the operator was in a car which turned over in a collision, and the lifesaving benefits of wearing a seatbelt should this occur.

Also present were a Garda Incident command Vehicle and members of the Garda Motorbike Patrol, the Roads Policing Unit and the Garda Dog Unit. Crime prevention advice was also available.
