TESS MARTIN MARKS HER 80TH WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

KILMACANOGUE woman Tess Martin celebrated her 80th birthday recently with a party for family and friends at Old Conna Golf Club in Bray.

Tess was joined by her children, Tony, Gillian and David, their partners, her nine grandchildren and three great-grandh- cildren, as well as her sister Nancy.

They enjoyed a delicious meal as well as some fantastic music by relatives Joe Doyle, Sam O’Leary and John Dwyer.

Tess said a few words thanking everyone and raised a glass in memory of her late husband Paddy, whose ten-year anni- versary occurs this week. She received lots of lovely gifts and flowers from everyone there.

Among the guests were four of Tess’ former colleagues from Woolworths – her bridesmaid Betty Dondon, Irene Woodcock, Marie O’Tooke and Kay Hannon.
