This initiative is one of a number of heritage recording projects undertaken by the Heritage Office in recent years, offering local communities the opportunity to create digital archives of information, photographs and stories about their local area which can then be used to develop local tourism activity.
The open evening in Baltinglass commences at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, with guided tours of the courthouse followed by the Heritage Trails and County Wicklow Heritage Plan launches at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
The Heritage Trails Brochures will be available at Tourist Offices and Baltinglass Municipal District Offices in Blessington.
