Upcoming courses to address accessing finance and websites
LOCAL Enterprise Wicklow have two upcoming training events taking place - one on accessing finance and the other on how to increase traffic to your website.
The accessing finance for your business course is being held on Tuesday, February 27, at Wicklow County Campus, Rathnew, from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m..
The trainers will be Lar Burke and Niall Glynn and the workshops aim to demystify the process of raising finance for your business. The experienced trainers will give general information on the types of finance available to small business from lenders such as MFI (Microfinance Ireland) and the mainstream banks and credit unions, to other types of financing such as leasing, invoice discounting, private investment, grants, business angels, crowd funding etc.
Specific information will be given on how loans are assessed, including the type of ratios and ‘what if ’ analysis that is generally applied.
The cornerstone of any investment proposition is the Business Plan, and time will be spent explaining how to write a credible and convincing business plan with financial projections.
The trainers will also give plenty of tangible examples of common reasons loans are refused, and there will be reference made to the mechanism for appealing refused applications (including the Credit Review Office).
The course costs €10.
The IT training course on how to increase traffic to your website takes place on March 3 at Arklow Business Enterprise Park from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m..
This course will demonstrate how to use search engine optimisation (SEO) to drive customers to your website and costs €50.
