Wicklow LEO’s Daly to speak at Irish Made Summit
SHEELAGH Daly, the chair of the Network of Local Enterprise Offices (LEO), will be one of the key speakers at this year’s Irish Made Summit in Dublin.
Ms Daly, who is also Head of Enterprise with LEO Wicklow, will address the summit at the Guinness Storehouse on Wednesday, February 28.
The Irish Made Summit is designed to support Irish products and the range of people behind them to give those products the best exposure.
The summit will include a day of educational and interactive talks and break out sessions where new, start-up and established businesses can learn about finance, marketing, funding and retail from some of Ireland’s best-known successes stories.
Ms Daly will be speaking on the funding and finance panel, lending her considerable knowledge of the sector to aid new, established and start-up businesses, with advice on how to access funding for business and what finance may be available.
Speaking in advance of the summit, Ms Daly said: ‘ The Irish Made Awards and the Irish Made Summit are a great initiative that give Irish businesses, both new and established, the chance to learn from Irish expertise that has led the way both in Ireland and internationally with their success.
‘Personally I am looking forward to speaking with all the attendees on the day to talk about funding and finance for businesses, an area where many companies are not fully aware of the support they can access for new, established and start-up businesses through the LEO Network.
‘No doubt there will be many there who are already clients of the network so it’s a great opportunity for them to share ideas with other businesses and make connections that will hopefully help them further their own companies.’
There will also be a pitching session, where individuals and brands will get an opportunity to pitch and get feedback on the session to be in with a chance to win an advertising package in Irish Country Magazine. Other speakers include Irish designer Helen James; Eddie Shanahan, Chairperson of the Council of Irish Fashion Designers; Emma Kelly of Elevate PR and designer Chupi Sweetman.
