Big win for Baltinglass

BALTINGLASS kicked off their campaign with a 3-20 to 0-03 win over Newcastle.

St Pat’s lost to Éire Óg Greystones by the minimum on a score of 2-05 to 1-09.

Aughrim found it hard going on a wet and miserable morning in Kilcoole. Fielding a very young team against last year’s beaten Junior ‘A’ football champiionship finalists, the opening half was very competitive but the concession of a goal just before half-time left Aughrim with a big task ahead in the second half.

They started the second half brightly and pulled back a couple of points but going down to 14 men and the concession of a second goal left Kilcoole winners by 1-13 to 1-05.
