Two free workshops on gaining new skills

BRAY Area Partnershi­p is offering two free workshops designed to help people develop the skills to gain employment. The first is a half-day Manual Handling workshop on February 28.

The second is a one-day Barista training programme on March 2, which takes place in Dublin and includes follow-up work experience.

To qualify for these free courses, you must be living in Bray, Delgany, Greystones, Kilcoole, Kilmananog­ue or Newcastle Lower, and meet other criteria such as being unemployed, or a young person aged 15-24 who is not currently in employment, education or training – for a full list of qualifying criteria and more informatio­n, see www. brayareapa­rtnership.ie or call 01 286 8266.

This training is funded under the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2015-2017, funded by the Irish Government and co-funded by the European Social Fund. It also includes a special allocation under the Youth Employment Initiative fund.
