Kickboxing legend hosts Wicklow seminar
KICKBOXING legend Ernesto Hoost put members of Uplift Gym to the test at two special martial arts seminars.
It was the first time the Dutch fourtime K-1 World Champion had hosted such events in Ireland.
Uplift Gym in Wicklow town organised both seminars, with the first taking place at DCU Sport St Patrick’s Campus Sports Complex in Dublin, with 40 people attending.
The second seminar was held back in Wicklow town at Uplift Gym, where 35 people were in attendance.
Both seminars were over two hours long and covered all the latest kickboxing training techniques. Students and kickboxing coaches representing clubs from all over Ireland attended each event.
Uplift Gym is also the home to Wicklow Martial Arts, a growing club which was established in 2002 and has been located at the Murrough since 2010.
