Bray Area Part­ner­ship are look­ing for ex­pres­sions of in­ter­est from par­ents in the Bray area for a new ‘Par­ent­ing When Sep­a­rated’ course.

When they have enough peo­ple they will set a date. Par­ents who have taken part in the course be­fore said that they found it re­ally help­ful.

The six-week course is for par­ents who are pre­par­ing for, go­ing through, or have gone through a sep­a­ra­tion or di­vorce. Top­ics in­clude solv­ing co-par­ent­ing prob­lems in a pos­i­tive way that fo­cus on the needs of chil­dren; cop­ing with the emo­tional im­pact of sep­a­ra­tion and learn­ing stress man­age­ment tech­niques; help­ing your chil­dren cope with the im­pact of the sep­a­ra­tion both emo­tion­ally and prac­ti­cally, and en­hanc­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion with your chil­dren and with their other par­ent.
