Local businesses on defaulter’s list

TWO Wicklow businessme­n and a Wicklow business were named on the latest revenue defaulters list, which was published last week by the Revenue Commission­ers.

The list relates to audits carried out during the last quarter of 2017, from October 1 to December 31.

The largest settlement in Wicklow was made against Fulvio Pellegrini of Weaver Square, Baltinglas­s. The fast food provider, who trades as Luigi’s Take Away, made a settlement of €481,288. This included tax of €193,358, interest of €142,912 and penalties of €145,018. The matter arose from a Revenue Audit Case relating to the under-declaratio­n of income tax and VAT. As of December 31 last year the full amount of €421,288 was still outstandin­g.

The Avoca Clinic Limited which is a cosmetic surgery provider located at Unit C, Glencormac­k Business Park, Kilmacanog­ue, made a settlement of €138,588. This included tax of €95,880, interest of €13,944 and penalties of €28,764. The matter arose from a Revenue Audit Case relating to the under-declaratio­n of PAYE/PRSI/USC. The full amount had been paid by the end of 2017.

The final Wicklow payment was made by John Noble of 63A Florence Road, Bray, who is a fast food provider. He made a settlement of €73,981.97 which included tax of €51,719.03, interest of €6,747.25 and penalties of €15,515.69. The matter arose from a Revenue Audit Case relating to the under-declaratio­n of income tax. The full settlement was paid by the end of 2017.

Nationally Revenue collected €10,217,360 from 64 people.
