The League of Ireland might not glow as brightly as the high wattage UEFA Champions League or the Premier League but it still attracts a hardcore of the support and tonight sees action between two of the traditional big hitters of the domestic game, who want to add new chapters to to their rich history. Waterford and Shamrock Rovers have not been winning league titles in recent seasons as Dundalk and Cork City hoover up all the silverware but both have made solid starts to the new season and remain in touch with the leaders as the table takes shape.
