-

Residents of Earlsbrook nursing home and their family members and friends came together last Friday to mark Daffodil Day.

Staff also enjoyed the party at the Meath Road home and it was a great success.

Everyone donned their bright yellow daffodils to support the Irish Cancer Society.

Vedrana Horvat, one of the social care leaders, said that all of the staff contributed on the day.

It was n opportunity for staff, residents and family members to relax and spend some time together.

The day included some delicious cakes which were made in the Earlsbrook kitchen, a raffle with prizes for everyone, and the room was brightly decorated with yellow tablecloths.

There was music and plenty of dancing and singing on the day.

There were flowers and pins at reception, and some money raised for the Irish Cancer Society.

Everyone had a fantastic time at the party, which is an event which Earlsbrook hosts each year on the important fundraising day for the Irish charity.
