Locals among first to enjoy the Cool Planet experience

-

‘COOL Planet’ invited members of the Enniskerry community to Powerscourt recently for the opening day of the climate change experience.

Guests from local businesses, schools, churches and staff from Powerscourt itself enjoyed were among the first to get a look at the visitor centre, which is dedicated to climate change.

The brainchild of entrepreneur and owner of Crowley Carbon, Norman Crowley, this is the first of 10 permanent visitor centres planned for locations around the world over the next three years.

Richard Branson was in Powerscourt to the ribbon on the Cool Planet Experience in January.

Visitors to the centre will be immersed in the story of changing climate as they discover what is causing this change, the science behind it and how to help create a healthy future for the plant.

Through immersion, gaming, competition and more, the one-hour tour shows visitors the highs and lows of a changing climate and exciting innovations and solutions to solve the problem.
