Wednesday, March 14 had the separate scores in two busy rooms joined and the final results were as follows: First place with a high percentage were Martina Byrne and Kay Smullen. In second place were Jane Bradshaw and Stella Doyle. Finishing third were Dorothy Johnson and Mary Wooley.

Thursday, March 15 was a close race. First were Geraldine Kane and Bridie Cogill. In second were Philomena O’Dowd and Ann Cahill and in third Nellie Ivory and Gerry Downes. Players are proving to provide strong competition with performances improving on this beginner’s night.

Friday, March 16, say husband and wife team Eric and Dorothy Levingstone come out on top. Second were Teresa Ghalaieny and Margo Mulligan and in third place Ann Monaghan and Kathleen Broderick.

There was no bridge on Monday, March 19 as it was a Bank Holiday. The Club celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with the sharing of shamrock and green treats in preparation for the big day.
