Lean, mean barking machines transform in fun pet challenge

-

THE pets of Greystones celebrated their new slender physiques recently with a 5km walk around the town.

The community walk, which had been postponed due to snow, followed a six-week

‘Operation Transformation’ programme run by

Greystones Veterinary

Hospital.

There was an inclement start to the day but the sun came out over

Greystones and the walk was a great success.

‘We would like to thank all our amazing leaders and their owners for the amazing effort they put into the programme. We are so proud of each and every one of you.’

RTE’s ‘Nationwide’ were there to capture the event.

The winner of the challenge was Furia Suder, who lost 2.2kg and 19 inches. In second place was Archie Nolan and Miley Leonard was in third.

Furia received a hamper to share with her owner, and she donated her 14kg bag of Royal Canine to the WSPCA.

This was the first time the veterinary hospital had run the Pet Operation Transformation challenge and they certainly hope to do so again.

Everyone who participated on the day received a goodie bag and the leader of all leaders, ‘Rex’ was there to keep everyone motivated.
