Thriller based on a novel by China Mieville and set in the mythical Central European city of Bessel, where Inspector Borough, played by David Morrissey and the Extreme Crime Squad are called to investigate the murder of a young woman found on the docks with her face disfigured. Borough notices odd similarities to an old case, and his inquiries soon lead him to the neighbouring city of Ui Qoma. Co stars, Andrea Deck.
