Body is found off Bray Head

THE BODY OF a woman was found in the water off Bray Head in the early hours of Monday morning.

The deceased female was in her late 60s and a resident of north County Dublin.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident just after 3 a.m. on Monday when she was seen in the water. A doctor was alerted and called to the seafront area. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She had been reported missing the previous afternoon.

The remains were removed by hearse to Loughlinstown hospital where a post mortem was to be carried out.
