Eight-week beginners drawing course

A drawing course for beginners will get under way in Bray early next month.

The course will be taught by Nicola Sedgwick and takes place over eight weeks from Wednesday, May 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The classes will be at the Queen of Peace Parish Centre on Putland Road. The cost is €150.

Using proven methods that unlock the creative part of the brain, Nicola will show you techniques that will enable you to draw realistically.

Participants will learn a skill that will last a lifetime. Nicola is an artist, designer, illustrator and editor based in Wicklow. She is also author of the book ‘ You Too Can Draw’.

She teaches drawing and painting at Ballsbridge College of Further Education and holds regular classes in Bray.

Nicola has worked in Emerald City Productions in Dun Laoghaire as an animator for five years, and then worked for nearly ten years in Mentor Books publishing company as a designer and illustrator.
