Scouts raise €1,000 at the Bricfeasta Mór

-

THE 1st Wicklow-2nd Dublin St Kilian’s Scout Group in Greystones presented a cheque last week to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).

The boys and girls raised over €1,000 on St Patrick’s Day, serving the annual ‘Bricfeasta Mór’ before the parade at their den on Trafalgar Road.

They served up to 160 breakfast to the public of Greystones, sending them off to enjoy the festivities with full stomachs.

The scouts and their leaders worked hard from the eve of the event to make sure it was a success as always.

They chose the charity in honour of the late Simon Fitzmaurice, who died during the year from MND and whose children are members.

This was the 21st year of the breakfast, which is a great community tradition in Greystones.

The IMNDA provides care and support to people with motor neurone disease, their families friends and carers.
