Pair of Cats prowled in the Garden

TWO of Kilkenny’s starting 15 from last Sunday’s Allianz National Hurling League final in Nowlan Park helped Maynoot University to a Kehoe Cup title at the expense of the Garden County as recently as February 5, 2017, in Arklow.

Full-back Padraig Walsh and corner-back Paddy Deegan were prominent figures in the college team that scuppered Wicklow’s Kehoe Cup hopes that day.

The final score was Maynooth University 1-23, Wicklow 2-11.
